John 15:1-17-
- The Vine – Represents Jesus
- The Branches – Represent followers of Jesus
- The Fruit – Fruit is produced on the branches (in us and in our lives); Fruit is the natural result of health.
- The Fruit of Evangelism…we share Jesus with others
- The fruit of living as a Disciple (you are an obedient follower of Jesus who is becoming like Jesus and committed to the mission of Jesus)
- The Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) is what is produced in us by the Holy Spirit within us
- The Trellis – Is the framework for support and health
It represents the habits or practices that support the life of the Christ follower, such as: - Jesus is at the center of our lives
- We engage, love, and learn the Word of God
- We engage with God through regular prayer
- We live in community with other believers.
- We live on mission, with a desire to reach the world for Jesus.
- We make other disciples of Jesus
