Psummer in the Psalms
The Psalms are one of the most read, sung, and referenced books in all of the scriptures. The Psalms are a diverse book or poetry and prayers as people respond to God as they travel on their journey through life. This summer we will dive into the Psalms as we Read, Reflect and Respond to various Psalms each Sunday. Join us on this journey as we spend the Psummer in the Psalms.
Week 5: Psalm 150
As we read, reflect and respond on Psalm 150 we are directed to worship God with all he have, and are warned in Psalm 115 that we not only purse, but we become like what we worship and value most.
DISCUSSION/REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
- How did you celebrate July 4th?
- Describe a moment in your life that was very meaningful for you in worshiping God?
- READ: Psalm 150 (Warning: This is a long Psalm so you may ask people to read it on their own silently to be prepared to discuss). Spend some time SOAPing this passage.
You can either spend time SOAPing individually and documenting for a several minutes and then spend time sharing with each -OR- SOAP in real time with each other. Either way make as many observations as you can. - OBSERVATIONS: What stands out to you from Psalm 150? What are you observations?
