Live Oak Community Church is a growing and thriving congregation in Lubbock, TX with approximately 900-1000 in attendance each SundayThe mission of Live Oak is to make more and stronger followers of Jesus Christ.   

Our Staff Team is a group of hard-working people who love Jesus, love the local Church, and love to build into people.  Our calling is “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”

Current Opportunities

Business & Finance Director (~30 hours / week)

We are currently searching for:  

  • A three-quarter time (~30 hrs/week) Business & Finance Director to work in conjunction with the staff team toward the mission of making more and stronger Followers of Jesus.  
  •  The win for this role is to support the mission of Live Oak by providing oversight, management, and execution of financial, business, and HR aspects of the church. 
  • The applicant would be inclined to work well with others including staff teammates, bookkeeping service, and volunteers.
  • Responsibilities include developing annual operating budget, managing financial systems for accountability and good stewardship, overseeing church business functions, HR policies, and ensuring legal and insurance compliance.  
  • Qualifications: Possession of a Business, HR, Accounting/Finance, or other related degree is preferred.  Additionally, experience in a ministry or business environment is preferred but not required. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Teams applications is ideal.
  • Applicants would need to be in alignment with church beliefs, values, and leadership affirmations.

Facilities Director (35-40 Hours / week)

  

  • The Facilities Director acts in concert with the staff team of Live Oak toward the common mission of making More and Stronger Followers of Jesus. 
  • The win for this role is to support the mission of Live Oak by providing clean, safe, and intentional environments.  
  • The responsibilities include such items as building set up, general upkeep & maintenance, restock, and the scheduling of vendor services.
  • The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, problem-solver, and be able  to move about easily and lift 35 pounds and stand for up to 2 hours.   
  • Additionally, the individual would need good people skills and able to work collaboratively staff teammates and vendors.
