WHAT ARE LIVE OAK’S FALL GIVING INITIATIVES?
Live Oak seeks to be generous and “others” focused year round. Every Fall we amp up this effort by challenging you to participate in our FALL GIVING INITIATIVES.
- These are very tangible, practical ways to love and reach out to those in need.
- This is giving above and beyond our normal tithing.
- We will impact those in need both near and far!

GIVE FAQs
1. I don’t attend on Sundays but want to get a box or a bag. How do I do that?
Email us ([email protected]) and we will arrange to leave what you need on our porch. Keep in mind, that with the Lubbock Impact Hygiene Kits we have a limited supply.
2. Can I return my box or bag prior to Nov. 24th?
You sure can! You can bring your filled bags and boxes on the Sundays leading up to Nov. 17th. If you need to leave yours on our porch during the week feel free to! Just note that we have Fridays off and if you leave it on a Friday it will be sitting there until Sunday morning.
3. I am providing my own shoe box. How do I get an instruction sheet for how to pack it?

4. I won’t be here on Nov. 24 to turn my items in. What do I do?
Bring them early on another Sunday, leave on our porch (see #2) or email us to arrange an alternate plan at [email protected]
5. Is it ok for my Operation Christmas Box to be so full it can’t be closed?
We ultimately transport boxes to another church, who then get them shipped to Dallas, where they will be sent all over the world. Boxes that won’t close make transport impossible so please make sure your does close, even if that means removing items from it.
6. Why can’t I use my own bag to make a hygiene kit for Lubbock Impact?
We can only bring a certain number of bags to Lubbock Impact simply bc they have limited storage. So we ask you to only fill the bags we provide. These are first come, first served.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Pack a gift-filled shoebox for a child in need living across the globe. Every Child who receives a shoebox gift also hears the Gospel and is invited to opt into a discipleship program called “The Greatest Journey.”
You may use the boxes Live Oak provides (available in the auditorium beginning October 27). Please note packing instructions and labels are inside each box.

You can use your own shoebox or shoebox-sized tupperware. You can head HERE to find packing instructions and printable labels.
THERE IS NO LIMIT TO HOW MANY BOXES LIVE OAK CAN CONTRIBUTE!
HYGIENE KITS FOR LUBBOCK IMPACT
Support the feet-on-the ground ministry at Lubbock Impact!
Pack a bag with hygiene essentials. These will be given to those living in economic hardship in the Lubbock community who are served by Lubbock Impact and will contain self care items that many of us take for granted.
Please use only the bags provided by Live Oak (beginning October 27 – first come, first served), as Lubbock Impact can only receive a set # of bags, due to storage limitations. Lists of items to purchase are attached to the bags themselves.

FAITH COMES BY HEARING
Support the ministry of Faith Comes by Hearing whose goal is to work in partnership to see that the Word of God is recorded and freely provided in every language that needs it by the year 2033.
They work to create audio bibles in heart languages all over the world…
- Currently there are over 7,100 languages in the world. 50% of people can’t read at a functional level.
- Faith Comes By Hearing’s Audio Bibles are freely available and used in a variety of formats. People engage with God’s Word through solar-powered devices in a listening group, streamed online, or personally on their phone via the Bible.is app or a Micro SD card. Through regular listening to God’s audible Word, individuals are impacted, families are revived, and communities are transformed.

HERE IS HOW YOU CAN GIVE:
1. Head to our ONLINE GIVING easily found on our App or HERE. Choose “AUDIO BIBLES” on the dropdown menu and donate.
2. TEXT TO GIVE – text your dollar amount with the word “BIBLES” to 84321 (example: 50 BIBLES). Note: no dollar sign is needed; the word bibles is necessary or else your amount will go into our general fund)
