Live Oak Student Ministry
Wednesday, August 8- Wednesday, September 18

6:00-6:30 LOSMeal for students and leaders (for $3/meal) in the church foyer.  A time for students to grab some food, decompress from their day, and connect with each other and their leaders!

6:30-8:00 Students will worship in music, play games, and listen to a relevant & helpful teaching. Then students will break into gender and grade-based small groups for the remainder of the night.

For the first 4 weeks of our Fall Semester our Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers will be separated during the teaching portion of the night, as they will be digging into 2 different series:

“Lifelines”, a 4-week series on friendship (Middle School)
Do you have any friendships you can really count on — the kind of friendships you might call your “lifelines?” God designed us to have friendships we can trust, but God also knew we’d need some help figuring out how to build friendships that are lifelines for each other. In this 4-week series, we’ll look at the kind of friendship Jesus models for us: friendship that lets us be real, gives us a chance to grow, gives us a group when we feel alone, and can even change the world.

“The Haves and Have-nots”, a 4-week series on identity (High School)
How many times have you compared yourself with someone else today? Seriously — see if you can count. Whether it’s their stuff, their looks, their skills, or their popularity, we can’t help but notice all the things other people have, and how those things compare to all the things we wish we had. But in this 4-week series, we’re going to focus on four things that God has given to every single one of us. You have a past, you have today, you have a future, and you have a family. All four of these things make you valuable and uniquely you.

Please note these upcoming dates:
Wednesday, September 25th LOSM will be back to the normal combined large group with both middle and high school to kickoff the new series “Stronger”!
